STAFF REPORTS
The holiday season begins in Lindale on Saturday.
It all starts with the annual Christmas Parade; according to Tim Reynolds with Restoration Lindale.
“We will line up at Pepperell Primary School by 2:30,” he said. “The parade will begin at 3. This year we are honored to have the Pepperell High School marching band join us. The parade is free and it is open to the public. We do ask folks participating in the parade to allow for social distancing as much as possible.”
There will also be an arts and crafts festival with over 50 vendors from 2 until 6 p.m.
The star lighting ceremony will start at around 5:30.
“Each year we sell the bulbs on our star in honor, in memory or in celebration of loved ones,” Reynolds added. “We read those names off just before our annual star lighting between the smokestacks at the mill, which takes place at around 6 o’clock.”
The Lindale Star has illuminated the night sky during the holiday season for the last 89 years.
