The City of Cedartown –
On Wednesday Morning the City of Cedartown made an announcement officially canceling their 2020 “REVERSE” Christmas Parade due to lack of entries…
The released the following statement on the subject:
“Well, folks. This is a bummer. I mean, pretty much 2020 has been one bummer after another, event-wise. Except for our Christmas lights downtown. Now that’s a BRIGHT SPOT in the year for sure.
But back to the subject at hand: we’ve had to make the decision to cancel the reverse Christmas parade due to lack of interest. We get it.
Many churches aren’t meeting, or when they do, it’s only for Sunday service. Many clubs and other organizations that always participate are either not meeting or trying to social distance.
It still stinks though. For the three floats that did enter for 2020, y’all save your “Let it Snow” decorations – 2021’s parade will still have the same theme.”
