Calhoun Police Department –
According to a report by the Calhoun Police Department, Officers were dispatched to Mauldin Road after a 9-11 call report of an intoxicated male jumping in front of cars occurred last Friday night.
When the Officers arrived on the scene, an intoxicated Rolando Guzman-Cruz (30 years old of Calhoun) was seen allegedly standing in the roadway blocking cars. Cruz ignored the officer’s requests to cooperate and attempted to flee by entering into a house, but then was arrested.
Another intoxicated individual, Miguel Guzman-Cruz (27 years old of Calhoun), was also arrested at the scene for Obstruction of Law Enforcement.
While in police transport to the jail, both Rolando and Miguel allegedly made terroristic threats to the officers and their families:
They stated that they were part of the Mexican Cartel and would have the officers and their families killed.
Rolando and Miguel are being charged with Pedestrian under the Influence, Obstruction of Law Enforcement Officers, and making Terroristic Threats.
