We have new information about the discovery of five deceased individuals found Sunday. According to a press release from the Bartow County’s Sheriff’s Office, five people were found dead at the Stonehaven Falls Apartments Sunday afternoon. The names and causes of death have not been released. WBHF was able to confirm that carbon monoxide poisoning may have been a factor. The official cause of death will be released by the coroner’s office. All adjacent apartments were evacuated and tested for carbon monoxide poisoning; those apartments were cleared and the tenants were allowed to return to their units.
Both the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Bartow County SHeriff’s Office are working the case. The circumstances, names, ages, have not been released.
According to a press release from Sheriff Clark Millsap, at approximately 4:35 p.m. Sunday, investigators, deputies, and agents with the GBI responded to 1702 Stonehaven Circle, Cartersville in reference to an unknown problem. The call was later determined to be a death Investigation. Deputies discovered five deceased individuals inside the residence. Due to the nature of the investigation, no further information was released. The individuals were transported to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab for autopsies. The case remains under investigation.
