Howard Toole, managing partner for Rome Radio Partners, was inducted as a Georgia Radio Legend during the 2024 Friends of Georgia Radio Celebration and Legends Induction on Saturday in Sandy Springs.
Toole has been in the broadcasting industry for 59 years and was recognized for his service at stations in Augusta, Albany, Atlanta, Athens, Rome, and Northwest Georgia.
Rome Radio Partners LLC owns and operates WRGA, WSRM, WRBF, WQTU, and WGJK in Rome and the surrounding areas.
Friends of Georgia Radio is a 501c3 non-profit organization that raises funds for and awards yearly scholarships for students at Georgia colleges and universities and provides mentoring for those students. The organization also provides ongoing professional development, workshops, and in-person events aimed at enhancing the future of traditional radio broadcasting and emerging technologies that serve Georgia listeners and communities.
