The Floyd County Commission will conduct the first public hearing regarding the proposed millage rate when they meet Monday night.
The proposed rate for maintenance and operations, fire, and solid waste is advertised at 9.414 mills, which would be an increase of 0.75 mills, although the board could opt to adopt a lower rate.
Monday night’s county commission meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the county administration building on Fourth Avenue.
The caucus begins at 4 p.m.
