Rome Police responded to Redmond Circle near Lavender Drive Monday after a pickup truck slammed into a power pole, breaking it.
Westbound traffic was rerouted onto Lavender while eastbound traffic was rerouted through the Chevron station parking lot as Georgia power crews worked to make repairs.
The crash took out power for about 279 customers in the area and school buses had to be rerouted.
The driver of the pickup was transported to the hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
