Woman charged with child cruelty

A 42-year-old Lindale woman is accused of leaving an 8-year-old child unattended for an extended period of time.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

The child was left in a home on Maple Road with several items of illegal drug paraphernalia and residue.

Holder is charged with 2nd-degree cruelty to children.

Woman jailed on a felony aggravated animal cruelty charge

An Armuchee woman was arrested at her Floyd Springs Road home Wednesday on four counts of cruelty to animals and one count of aggravated cruelty to animals.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

41-year-old Constance Elinor Grissett was housing four dogs in deplorable conditions, which were so bad the house had to be condemned.

A deceased dog was found in Grissett’s bed.

She stated that she watched the dog suffer a seizure until it died and did not seek medical attention.

Inmate charged with making threats, stalking

An inmate was recorded on a call from the Floyd County Jail, threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend, according to arrest warrants.

37-year-old Demetrius Lamond Glenn also contacted the victim by email.

He has been incarcerated since April on charges of theft by taking a motor vehicle, battery, and a probation violation.

He is now charged with a felony count of terroristic threats and acts.

Glenn is also charged with two counts of aggravated stalking for violating a temporary protective order filed by the victim on June 27 and a protective order filed by a different woman on May 17, 2022.

He reportedly contacted the second victim 11 times via email.

Man charged with burglary

A homeless man was jailed Wednesday on charges of 2nd-degree burglary, criminal damage to property, and criminal trespass.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

58-year-old Steven Lamar Dooley forced entry into a structure at 2515 Shorter Avenue via two windows, causing $100 in damage.

He then remained inside the building, according to the report.

Report: Woman kicked deputy

A woman reportedly kicked a Floyd County Sheriff’s deputy during her arrest on Hatfield Road Wednesday.

According to jail records:

49-year-old Jennifer Susan Blue also refused to obey commands from law enforcement.

She is charged with felony and misdemeanor counts of obstruction along with a misdemeanor count of failure to appear in court.

Woman accused of using someone else’s debit card information to order groceries

A 24-year-old Rome woman has been jailed on a felony warrant charging her with financial transaction card theft.

According to the warrant:

Daniela Elizabeth Duarte created a pickup order for groceries at Walmart online using someone else’s name, address, and card information.

She later canceled the order but also created an Amazon account using the victim’s debit card information.

Report: Man fled out of a window during execution of search warrant

A homeless man is accused of jumping out of a window and fleeing from police back on June 13.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

During a follow-up investigation, officers obtained a probable cause search warrant for a home on Williamson Street where they found a glass pipe and a digital scale.

Nearby, police found paperwork with 31-year-old Marquell Dquinn Williams’ name on it.

Williams is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug-related objects, obstruction, failure to appear, and a probation violation.

Woman charged with meth possession

A 35-year-old Rome woman was arrested Wednesday on meth possession charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Amanda Hope Sellars was found in possession of a crystal-like substance suspected to be methamphetamine.
