Polk County’s elections director is back on the job after being cleared through county employee policy procedures following an arrest during a traffic stop last month in Rome.
Noah Beck was placed on 10-day paid leave pending further investigation on May 24 after he was arrested and charged with DUI and possession of suspected Adderall.
Richard Long, chairman of the Polk County Board of Elections, told the Polk Standard Journal that Beck had cleared up the matter needed with the county to allow him to return to work last week.
Although cleared by Polk County policy, Beck still faces the charges filed by the Rome Police Department.
