Man charged with cocaine possession
A 25-year-old Rome man was jailed Wednesday on a felony warrant charging him with possession of cocaine.
According to the warrant for Anthony Deron Burge Jr., approximately seven grams of cocaine was recovered during the execution of a search warrant at a home on King Street on Jan. 19, 2021.
The cocaine was in two separate baggies, along with a digital scale, and in proximity to Burge’s driver’s license.
Burge is also charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute and possession of drug-related objects.
Woman arrested for meth possession
A Rome woman was arrested Wednesday at the Saga Inn on Martha Berry Highway on drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
24-year-old Marissa Shaye Cannon had two small bags containing suspected methamphetamine.
She is charged with possession of meth and a probation violation.
Report: Man kicked in door, violated conditional bond
A 31-year-old Adairsville man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly kicked down the front door of a residence on Wilkerson Road in Rome.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Justin Keith Jones then hit a woman in the face, causing visible injuries.
Jones had a conditional bond, stating that he have no contact with the victim.
He is charged with criminal trespass, battery, and a felony count of aggravated stalking.
