A 29-year-old Rome man was arrested on Saturday for child cruelty charges after an incident that occurred at his residence on Chateau Drive. According to Floyd County Jail Records, Caleb Chase Chasteen allegedly punched a victim’s head in the presence of two children. He is being charged with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance, crossing the guard line with a controlled substance, simple battery (family violence), and 2 counts of 3rd-degree cruelty to children.
