A 46-year-old Rome woman has been arrested on a felony warrant charging her with 2nd-degree cruelty to children in connection with an incident dating back to December 10 of last year.
According to the warrant, Ayana Latasha Brown was supposed to be caring for a four-year-old child at a hotel on Shorter Avenue.
The child left the room and was struck by a car.
A search of the room turned up marijuana and the smoke detector had been covered with a piece of plastic believed to be a hair bonnet.
