A former Gordon County Commissioner has been indicted on a felony charge of 1st-degree cruelty to children while her husband has been indicted on a felony count of child molestation.
Rebecca Hood and Scott Hood, both of Calhoun, were arrested last October following an investigation by the GBI that started in January of 2021.
Becky Hood had served as a Gordon County Commission since 2006 before announcing she would not run for re-election in 2022.
A Gordon County Grand Jury returned the indictments against the couple on Wednesday.
