Woman arrested on burglary charge
A Plainville woman was booked into the Floyd County Jail Monday on a felony warrant charging her with 1st-degree burglary.
According to the warrant:
36-year-old Jasmine Miranda Hamilton forced her way into a residence on Spring Circle in Rome back on December 13.
She then used the utilities to the residence without the permission of the owner or the caretaker of the property.
Man charged with criminal damage to property, aggravated stalking
A 34-year-old Silver Creek man was arrested Monday after he allegedly pulled a bedroom door from its frame at a Rockmart Road residence.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Fatillah Ibn Rasullullah Abdul Sul Pillow also spit in the victim’s face.
In doing so, he violated a conditional bond ordering him to have no contact with the victim or be within 200 yards of the residence.
Pillow is charged with 2nd-degree criminal damage to property, simple assault, and aggravated stalking.
Woman charged after cocaine found in hotel room
A 31-year-old Douglasville woman is facing a felony count of possession of cocaine following her arrest Monday.
According to an arrest warrant:
30 grams of cocaine was found in a room at the Red Roof Inn on Highway 411 in Rome back in September.
Angelique Sade Story was the occupant of the room.
Man charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
A Rome man was jailed Monday on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and a probation violation.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
63-year-old George Dale Hawkins Sr. was taken into custody at his Fosters Mill residence after a Spectrum .380 was found on the headboard of his bed.
Woman charged with felony shoplifting
A Shannon woman has been arrested in connection with the theft of $1,200 in merchandise from the East Rome Walmart back on December 21.
According to an arrest warrant:
49-year-old Christina June Danford worked with others, one of whom took the merchandise out of the store through a fire door.
Danford was waiting in her vehicle which was parked in the fire lane and sped off recklessly through the parking lot once the co-conspirator jumped into the vehicle.
Danford is charged with felony theft by shoplifting and reckless driving.
Assault suspect facing an additional charge
A Lindale man accused of hitting another man in the head with the butt or barrel of a rifle back on December 29 is facing an additional charge.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
37-year-old Jeffrey David Lindsey was not supposed to have a firearm due to him being a convicted felon.
He is now charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
