The Georgia Department of Transportation has awarded contracts for three road projects in Northwest Georgia.
The first two are in Chattooga County.
Northwest Georgia Paving of Calhoun was the low bidder for the resurfacing of just over six-and-a-half miles on State Route 48 and U.S. 27 beginning north of the Chattooga River.
The project cost is just over $4.25 million.
The second project is the repaving and shoulder rehab of 4.3 miles of U.S. 27 beginning north of Gore-Subligna Road and extending south of the Chattooga River.
C.W. Matthews Contracting of Marietta was the low bidder at $2.96 million.
Both projects have an estimated completion date of August 31, 2025.
GDOT also awarded a contract for $1.46 million for bridge rehab projects at various locations on I-75 in Bartow and Cherokee Counties.
Louis-Company of Grain Valley, Missouri was the low bidder and the project has a February 2026 estimated completion date.
