A two-vehicle wreck on Shorter Avenue near Zaxby’s and Lowe’s temporarily shut down all lanes of traffic Wednesday afternoon.
The accident resulted in a power pole being struck and broken with a line across the roadway.
Floyd 911 dispatch reported that two people were injured in the accident and transported from the scene by Atrium Health Floyd EMS.
Traffic was detoured until the vehicles were cleared from the roadway, and Georgia Power responded to the area.
