A Coosa man is accused of beating a woman with a golf club at his Avery Road apartment Monday night.
According to an arrest warrant:
58-year-old Stephen Mark Parker caused numerous injuries to the victim’s head and neck.
The injuries were such that Parker made statements to 911 that the woman was not breathing, and told a family member that he had killed the victim.
Parker is charged with aggravated assault.
