Floyd County Police are continuing to investigate the death of a man who body was found outside his Barker Road residence on Tuesday.
According to Floyd County Coroner Gene Proctor, as of Thursday morning authorities have not been able to locate the man’s next of kin, so his identity is still not being released.
According to police, a neighbor discovered the victim’s body and notified authorities.
The case is being investigated as a homicide and the body has been sent to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy.
Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a subject that would have been on foot in the area of Barker Road between approximately 10 pm Monday and 1 am Tuesday.
