We now know who the Democrat candidate for Congress in the 14th District will be.
In Tuesday’s runoff, Shawn Harris defeated Clarence Blalock.
In Floyd County, Harris received 1,133 votes to Blalock’s 293 votes
Harris will now face incumbent Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene in the November General Election.
In other Northwest Georgia runoff contests, for Polk County Commission, Michael Gravett won in District 1, while John Pachal won in District 3.
In Chattooga County, Jeremy “Big Mac” McElhaney won the runoff for coroner.
