Monday morning the Rome Floyd Chamber welcomed the Georgia Chamber of Commerce’s New Georgia Economy Tour to the Rome Forum River Center. Chris Clark, President of the Georgia Chamber, led a presentation highlighting issues facing local businesses throughout Northwest Georgia.
Popular topics covered shortages of skilled local workers, a lack of housing options, and how artificial intelligence and automation will affect the job market in the future.
In the video above, President Clark spoke to us about how the Chamber worked to protect data center jobs in Georgia including the Microsoft data center that will soon be coming to Rome. He also highlighted why it is important to guide the next generation towards promising career pathways.
