Monday afternoon Berry College hosted a public viewing event of the total solar eclipse at their Football Stadium, Valhalla.
Berry College student volunteers handed out solar eclipse viewing cards for safe viewing of the celestial sight.
The weather cooperated allowing the solar event to be visible during its full duration starting at 1:44 PM, with a peak at 3:03 PM, and concluding at 4:20 PM.
According to NASA, this was the first total solar eclipse in the United States since August 21st, 2017.
The next total solar eclipse in the Continental United States will be 20 years from now on August 23rd, 2044.
