Ice skating begins Monday at Ridge Ferry Park. The rink, located under the huge tent in front of the Coca-Cola stage opens at 1 p.m. Monday.
It will remain open until MLK Day on January 15, according to Jim Alred with Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation.
“We will have open skate six days a week,” he said. “We have great hours. When school is out, it is usually from 1 to 9 p.m. When school is in, it’s 4 to 9 p.m. We’re going to have concessions out there. We’re going to have food trucks coming out there.”
Armbands to skate are $12 for children 10 and under and $14 for adults. Skaters will want to bundle up and also make sure to bring socks. Rink admission includes skate rental and allows for skating the entire day as long as you keep your armband.
