Cartersville Police have released a few more details regarding a pedestrian who was struck and killed by a train over the weekend.
The incident occurred Saturday just after 9 p.m.
According to police, the man was walking north on the tracks near West Avenue and South Erwin Street
The train was also traveling north and was unable to stop in time, striking the pedestrian.
70-year-old Roger Dillard Black of Cartersville was pronounced dead at the scene.
