The Salvation Army of Rome is looking for volunteers who can be deployed to offer assistance when there is a disaster.
Training sessions are planned for March which will be open to adult volunteers so they can earn their credentials.
The classes include an Introduction to The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services on Friday, March 17th from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Training ServSafe food handlers will be on Saturday, March 18th from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
The third class, “Safe from Harm,” will be on Saturday, March 18th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
All the classes will be held at the Salvation Army at 310 East Second Avenue in Rome.
The training is free and lunch will be served on that Saturday.
