One driver is dead following a crash on U.S. 27 at Rhinehart Equipment company. Police are looking for a large gray sedan that stopped but left the scene.
The crash occurred just before 2 p.m. on Martha Berry Highway near Selman Road. A southbound Nissan Altima was struck by an unknown vehicle causing it to careen into Nissan Pathfinder that was traveling north.
No identification is being released at this time. This investigation is still ongoing. The FCPD is requesting video from anyone who was driving in the area who might have dash cam video.

On Wednesday afternoon 911 dispatch received reports of a serious accident on Martha Berry Blvd in the area near the Rhinehart Equipment Company. The Floyd County Police Department was dispatched to the scene and found two vehicles on the side of the road in a ditch near Selman Road. At least one person with injuries was transported by Advent Health EMS from the scene. Northbound traffic in the area was delayed with only one lane open. The Floyd County Police Department is investigating the wreck further at the time of this report.
