In less than a month, the Knights of Colombus will be hosting their 54th annual Labor Day Barbeque, an event where all proceeds are given back to the community.
The barbeque will be held at the Rome Civic Center on Monday, September 5th. The event will be to-go and take-out only this year, with two drive-through lanes and crew members and signs to direct traffic.
The organization recommends ordering in advance on RomeBbq.com, where you can choose from a pound of beef or pork for $12, a quart of Brunswick stew for $12, and a quart of baked beans for $8. Online orders must be placed by August 28th, and to-go orders will be first-come-first-serve starting at 9 am at the Civic Center.
The earnings will be donated to several nonprofit organizations in Rome and Floyd County, and the annual barbeque has raised over $270,00 for the community in the past.
