Wednesday is the first day of a brand new school year for students in the Floyd County School System.
The biggest changes for the new school year impact former students of Cave Spring Elementary and Glenwood Primary, which closed over the summer.
Pre-K through 4th-grade students in the Cave Spring area will now be attending Alto Park Elementary.
Meanwhile, Glenwood students move to either Armuchee Elementary or Armuchee Middle depending on what grade they are in.
