(From WBHF Radio) On June 2nd at 9:09 p.m., the Cartersville post of the Georgia State Patrol was requested to investigate a two-vehicle crash on GA Hwy 140 within the city limits of Adairsville.
The preliminary investigation determined that a silver Toyota Sienna van was traveling south on Hwy. 41 attempting to turn left onto GA 140. A moped was traveling north on 41 at its intersection with GA 140.
The Toyota Sienna van failed to yield while turning left and was struck in the front right fender by the front of the moped. The driver of the moped identified as Ms. Sharon Lavone Pratt age 61 of Adairsville suffered fatal injuries.
The Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is assisting with this crash investigation.
According to Bartow County Jail reports, Romauldo Rojo-Martinez, 61, of Calhoun was arrested at 9:04 p.m. and charged with homicide-by-vehicle- second-degree and failure to yield while turning left.
His name is not posted in the accident release from the Georgia State Patrol.
