A Cartersville man has been arrested following a shooting on Tuesday.
Police respond to Cartersville Medical Center in reference to a man with gunshot wounds.
Officers learned Carson Smith was shot during a drug transaction in the parking lot of 366 Old Mill Road.
Cartersville Police Department investigators identified 26-year-old Martiese Jamon McCay as the shooter.
McCray was taken into custody in Kennesaw and charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
