STAFF REPORTS
The drive-thru pick for the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program was held Thursday morning on North Broad Street.
The Angel Tree program allows families to apply for toys and gifts for their children.
Seniors 65 and over are also served by the program.
More than 200 families are being served this year with a total of 401 angels, which are children or seniors.
Each family also gets a food box and a Publix gift card.
Captain Tim Blevins took the time to thank all of those who volunteered their time for this year’s event.
