(Via WEIS Radio) Four people were rescued from the waters at the Little River Canyon Mouth Park on County Road 275 just off of Highway 273 late Wednesday morning.
Emergency crews were called to the scene shortly before noon to a report of a female subject and two children being sucked into the water and stuck on a tree.
Rescue workers arrived and actually located four subjects in the water.
Crews from the National Park Service, Alabama Marine Police, Cherokee County Rescue Squad, Tucker’s Chapel Firefighters, and Floyd EMS responded to the scene.
Just after 1:00 p.m., medics reported that all four individuals were safely rescued from the water.
