(Pictured is Khyan Bernard Stalling, Via WBHF Radio) Cartersville Police arrested a Lithonia man and detained five juveniles after a short vehicle chase on March 29th.
Dispatchers issued an all-points bulletin on a stolen Chevrolet Malibu traveling north on I-75. Dispatch alerted Cartersville police that the car exited onto East Main Street and went into the Circle K nearby.
Once the Malibu parked at the gas pumps, an officer tried to complete a felony stop. At that point, the car fled into the intersection with Canyon Parkway. It went into the wrong way of travel and almost hit a semi-trailer truck.
The Malibu got back into the correct lane after reaching the I-75 overpass, then struck a road sign at the intersection with Komatsu Drive and crashed into a ditch. All the occupants then fled on foot. Officers subsequently apprehended all six people.
An officer located a 9 MM pistol in the driver’s seat.
Department of Juvenile Justice agents transported the five juveniles to the Rome Youth Detention Center.
An officer arrested 18-year-old Khyan Bernard Stalling. All six received multiple charges, including felony theft by receiving stolen property and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes.
