The South Rome Alliance –
The Georgia Department of Community Affairs has awarded South Rome Alliance, formerly South Rome Redevelopment Corporation, and its partner, Charlotte, NC-based developer, Laurel Street, the 9% federal and state tax credits ($992,159) the team sought to help offset construction cost of the approximately $17 million South Meadows Community in South Rome, which will begin in summer 2021.
Lee Cochran, Senior VP for Development at Laurel Street Residential, filled us in on what the public can expect from the South Meadows Community(in the video below).
Brent Bell, Chairman of the South Rome Alliance (formerly South Rome Redevelopment Corporation) explained that the Corporation has changed its name to South Rome Alliance to more accurately reflect its 501(c)(3) non-profit status and better represent its multi-faceted mission to develop and support high-quality mixed-income housing, cradle-to-college educational opportunities, and community investments that attract and retain residents of all backgrounds…
