On Tuesday night, a crowd gathered downtown together at the town green to honor the life of Congressman John Lewis with a vigil.
Lewis, an icon in the struggle for American civil rights, passed away on July 17th at the age of 80.
Many people went up to speak in honor of Lewis, including Rome Mayor, Bill Collins, and The primary keynote speaker, Dr. Joshua Murfree.
