(Via WEIS Radio) Four people were transported for treatment following a near head-on collision taking place at the intersection of Highways 9 and 35 Wednesday morning.
Alabama State Troopers, members of the Cedar Bluff and Gaylesville Fire Departments, the Cherokee County Rescue Squad and Floyd EMS all responded to the scene of that wreck in front of Ft Crowe Fireworks at around 11:30 am.
Firefighters re-directed traffic around the accident scene, through the Ft Crowe parking lot, as emergency personnel stabilized those injured in the accident prior to each of them being transported to Rome-area hospitals for treatment.
The roadway was cleared and both lanes were re-opened at approximately 12:45 pm.
The cause of that wreck remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
