On Wednesday afternoon, the Floyd County Police Department and the Rome/Floyd Fire Department responded to a report of an overturned vehicle at the entrance of the Walker Mountain Landfill off Walker Mountain Road.
The Vehicle was a semi truck that was hauling a very large amount of pine-straw, which busted through the roof of the vehicle onto the road when it overturned.
According to police on the scene, The driver lost control of the vehicle, causing him to run off the road and flip.
The driver suffered a laceration to the arm, but otherwise suffered no major injuries. No other vehicles were involved.
