The Georgia Department of Public Health is reporting that 100 Floyd County residents have now tested positive for COVID-19.
There have been five deaths, the latest a 62-year old man and a 75-year old woman, both with underlying medical conditions.
The other deaths, an 80-year old man, a 65-year old female, and a 75-year old male, also all had underlying medical conditions.
Statewide, as of 7 p.m. Thursday, there were 10,885 confirmed cases statewide with 412 deaths.
2,298 are hospitalized.
The rest have either recovered or are quarantined at home.
Bartow County has 203 cases and 15 deaths.
Gordon County has 27 cases and there have been three deaths.
Polk County has 22 cases, no deaths, and Chattooga County has four cases and one death.
Remember, these numbers reflect the county of residence not where they are hospitalized.
