The Rome-Floyd Planning Commission held a meeting to vote to change the rezoning of the River District on Thursday afternoon.
The rezoning request would change 75 parcels in the River District area from “Community Commercial and Office Institutional” to “Urban Mixed Use,” in hopes of attracting more visitors to Downtown Rome & increasing property values in the area.
The Planning Commission voted unanimously in favor of approving the proposal for the re-zoning of the River District
