The 37th Annual Salvation Army Can-A-Thon took place on Friday morning at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds in Rome GA.
Each year, Rome and Floyd County students collect Non-perishable food items such as canned goods, dry goods, baby formula & baby food – which are distributed to Floyd County families through The Salvation Army of Rome’s Grocery Assistance Program.
We spoke with Rome Salvation Army Captain Melissa Smith more about the importance of this Can-a-thon in the video below:
The Salvation Army is also looking for Volunteers at this time for their Iconic Red Kettle Campaign.
