October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and on Friday Floyd Medical Center held its annual “Pink Day” at Truett’s Chick-Fil-A on Shorter Avenue.
WRGA’s First News with Tony McIntosh broadcasted live from the event, which featured a free photo booth, useful information from breast health advocates and of course Floyd’s iconic paper doll magnets.
Since Floyd’s Breast Center opened its doors 11 years ago, there have been a number of advances in the detection and treatment of breast cancer.
Knowledge is key and an annual screening mammogram is the single most effective way to find breast cancer at its earliest stage.
