STAFF REPORTS

Highway 27 North near Dugger Drive is open again after being shut down in both directions for a couple of hours Saturday.

A witness told WRGA that a truck hauling an oversize load brought utility lines down across the highway.

The closure impacted traffic between Dugger Drive and Lynn Drive and detours were set up.

Police had to stop using Lindsey Road as a detour due to high water on that roadway.

The utility lines were removed from the highway, and 27 was reopened just after 12:30 p.m.
