Man fails to steal truck

A 22 year old Rome man is facing multiple felony theft charges.

According to Floyd County Jail Records, Joshua Corbin Adams of a Belt Road address was arrested after breaking into a house and attempting to steal a vehicle.

When Adams broke into a house on Highway 53, he found the resident was still inside the house.

Adams ran outside where he threatened another person and attempted to steal her Dodge Dakota.

Adams is charged with felony burglary 1st degree, felony entering auto with the intent to commit a felony, felony probation violation, and simple battery.

Warrant served on Woman

A 28 year old Rome Woman was taken into custody after a warrant was issued for her arrest.

According to the warrant, Precious Karen Echols of a Hardy Avenue address ran over a person with a vehicle on April 20th.

Echols is charged with felony aggravated assault, as well as 2nd degree cruelty to children as multiple minors were present and witnessed the attack.  

Meth dealer becomes aggresive

A 19 year old Riverdale man was arrested on multiple drug charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Dalton Cole Adams of a Webb Road address was taken into custody after he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

Adams is accused of yelling at a woman and knocking a coffee cup out of her hand. The police were called, and when officers made contact with Adams and searched him, he was found to be in possession of 45 grams of methamphetamine.

He admitted to officers he was planning to sell the drugs in order to purchase a firearm.

The officer involved has been identified and a woman in the home was also arrested.
