Cartersville Police file charges after school threat

The Cartersville Police Department has filed charges against the juvenile who made threats against Cartersville Elementary School.

On Tuesday April 23rd 2019, formal charges were made on the juvenile suspect who called in threats to the Cartersville Elementary School on Thursday, April 18, 2019. The juvenile, from Riverdale, Georgia was charged by Cartersville Police Investigators with Terroristic Threats and Disruption of Public Schools, to be heard at the Bartow County Juvenile Court. The investigation also revealed no actual connection to the Cartersville area. The suspect is also facing multiple similar charges from other jurisdictions. 

The public is invited to a Memorial Day service presented by the Exchange Club of Rome Monday morning at 11 a.m. in the Palladium Building at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds.
