Man charged with aggravated assault, false imprisonment, battery

A 30-year old Rome man is in the Floyd County Jail accused of assaulting two different women.

According to arrest warrants, Eliot Ryan Rutledge of an East 11th Street address assaulted a woman, between June 2017 and October 2018.

The warrant states that he picked her up by the neck, slammed her to the ground and then continued to choke her once she was on the ground.

Rutledge reportedly prevented the victim from leaving the residence on August 3, 2018.

According to the warrant, he also “punched, elbowed and poked” the victim on the same date.

Rutledge is charged with aggravated assault, false imprisonment and simple battery in relation to the first victim.

He is also charged with aggravated assault, battery and simple battery in connection with incidents involving a second woman in January and February of this year.

According to those arrest warrants, Rutledge choked the victim.

He also allegedly cut his hands and then shoved his bloody fingers in the woman’s mouth.

 

Woman charged with theft by conversion

A 20-year old Rome woman is accused of stealing from her employer.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Caroline Rachel Maynard of a East North Avenue address took money from the Home Depot on Hicks Drive while she was an employee there.

Maynard is charged with felony theft by conversion.

The report did not state how much money was taken.

 

Woman charged with entering an auto

A Planville woman was arrested Saturday on a felony count of entering an automobile.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 32-year old Fleur Demeester Coffman of a Riverbend Road address went onto someone else’s property without permission and proceeded to enter the victim’s vehicle with the intent to commit a theft.

Coffman is also charged with criminal trespass.

 

Report: Man forged communtiy service document

FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

A 19-year old Rome man was jailed Saturday on a 1st-degree forgery charge.

According to the arrest warrant, Tarl David Thomas of a Davis Loop Road address presented a forged community service document to Supervision Services, Inc. stating he completed community service hours that he did not actually complete.

The alleged incident occurred on March 22, according to the warrant.

 

Report: Felon had firearm THC oil

A 33-year old Rome man is facing drugs and weapons charges following his arrest Saturday.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Alan Dewon Lyles of a Cedar Avenue address was found in possession of a firearm and THC oil during a traffic stop at 5th Avenue and Broad Street.

He was charged with felony possession of THC oil, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, giving a false name or date of birth to law enforcement, driving with a suspended or revoked license, improper tail light and a probation violation.

 

Woman charged with meth possession

A 25-year old Rome woman was arrested at her Chateau Drive apartment Saturday on drug charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Harlie Elise Evans was found with a syringe containing suspected methamphetamine.

Evans is charged with possession of meth.
