Man charged with 2nd-degree child cruelty

A Silver Creek man is facing charges of 2nd-degree cruelty to children (criminal neglegence) and reckless conduct charges following his arrest Thursday.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 20-year old Jacob Austin Lowe of a Wax Road address disregarded a substantial risk that resulted in a child sustaining neck and face injuries requiring medical care.

The report did not state any additional details.

 

Teen accused of making threats on video

An 18-year old is facing a felony count of terroristic threats and acts.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Isaac Gage Reynolds of a Rudy Street address brandished a firearm in a video while threatening to “Lay down” and “Whack” a juvenile and the victim’s mother.

Reynolds was arrested early Friday morning at his home.

A alleged threat made on Instagram lands a 17-year old Rome resident behind bars Thursday.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Zechariah Travion Williamson of a Northwood Drive address threatened to shoot a female in a post on the social media platform.

He is charged with terroristic threats and acts, and harassing communications.

 

Three arrested on drug charges

Three people were arrested at a location on Turner McCall Boulevard Thursday on drug charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 24-year old Audrey May Fisher of Centre, Alabama; 23-year old Tyler Mitchell Morgan of Piedmont, Alabama; and 34-year old Stephen Frank Herman (no permanent address) were all charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug-related objects.

A syringe containing suspected methamphetamine was found in the vehicle that all three were in.

Morgan was also charged with theft by receiving stolen property because the vehicle had been reported stolen.
 

Woman charged with possession of meth with the intent to distribute

Rome Police arrest a local woman on Hicks Drive Thursday on possession of methamphetamine charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 36-year old Elizabeth Lynn Wilbur of a N. McLin Street address in Rome was also charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute and misdemeanor obstruction of officers.
