Teen charged with rape

A Lindale teenager was jailed Wednesday on felony warrants charging him with rape and aggravated child molestation.

According to the warrants, 17-year old Elitha Gage Lindsey of a Park Avenue address raped a minor back on November 6, 2018.

The warrant states the child was injured during the rape.

 

Report: Man tried to choke woman

A Cave Spring man is facing a felony aggravated assault charge after being arrested Wednesday at his Padlock Mountain Road home.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 34-year old Dennis Harold Phillips II attempted to choke a woman by placing his hands around her neck.

He also allegedly struck the victim in the face and forehead, bloodying her nose.

Phillips is also charged with battery and a probation violation.

 

Man charged with auto theft

A Dallas, Georgia man was arrested by Rome Police Wednesday.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 51-year old David Wayne Bannister is charged with felony theft by taking a motor vehicle.

He is also charged with misdemeanor counts of theft by deception, and possession of drug-related objects, as well as a felony count of crossing the guard line at the jail with drugs.
