Man accused of cutting another man with a machete

A 47-year old Rome man was jailed Wednesday after allegedly attacking another man with a machete.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Larry Otis Parr of a Clover Street address cut the man on the arm with the large knife.

He also reportedly threatened a woman, saying that he would “chop her."

He alsp reportedly slashed her tires.

Parr is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, terroristic threats and acts, criminal trespass and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.

A Rome City Commission meeting has been scheduled for Monday.
