Rome City School Board meets Tuesday

The Rome City School Board will hold its February meeting on Tuesday at 5:45 p.m. at the Central Office.

Agenda items include the Focus on Student Achievement presentation from West End Elementary School Principal Dr. Dennis B. Drummond and information regarding the Aspiring Leaders Program from Buffi Murphy.

The board is expected to appoint a Georgia School Boards Association Legislative Liaison and Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Board Ex Officio Member.

They will also get an update on ESPLOST IV.

Trion Police Chief David Gilleland told WZQZ News that the death is still under investigation, but for now, the incident is being treated as a fatal four-wheeler accident.
