Report: Man threatened to beat woman to death

A 53-year old Silver Creek man is facing a felony count of terroristic threats and acts after he allegedly stated that he was going to beat a woman to death.

According to Floyd County Jail records, the threat was overheard by a witness.

Robert Michael Upton of a Wax Road address was also charged with failure to maintain a lane and driving with a suspended or revoked license.

A Kingston man turned himself in at the Floyd County Jail Wednesday on a felony warrant charging him with terroristic threats and acts.

According to the warrant, Christopher Daniel Ridley of a Kerce Road address threatened to shoot and kill the female victim and himself.

The warrant states the incident occurred on September 30 at a location on Avenue E in Lindale. 

 

 

Man allegedly crossed the guard line at the jail with meth

A man arrested for domestic violence is also facing drug charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 37-year old James Daniel Kelley of a Plymouth Road address in Rome punched a woman, busting her lip.

He also allegedly charged at the victim’s mother in an aggressive manner.

Once at the jail, officers found Kelley in possession of suspected methamphetamine, according to the report.

Kelley is charged with crossing the guard line at the jail with drugs, possession of meth, two counts of obstruction of officers, simple assault, and simple battery. 

 

Four arrested for meth

Four people were arrested on Booze Mountain Road at Park Avenue Wednesday on possession of methamphetamine charges.

Those arrested were 44-year old Frederick Dennis Cash of Dodd Boulevard, 21-year old Sally Marie Niman of Cedartown, 35-year old Jennifer Michelle Ford of Redmond Circle and 28-year old Jonathan Ryan Bannister of Second Street in Shannon.

Niman was additionally charged with driving without a license.

Ford was additionally charged with possession of drug-related objects and possession of dangerous drugs while Bannister was also charged with possession of dangerous drugs.

 

Man charged with entering an auto

A 38-year old Cedartown man was booked into the Floyd County Jail Wednesday on a felony count of entering an automobile.

According to jail reports, Kevin Parke Quillan entered a vehicle at a location on North Broad Street.

He allegedly attempted to steal items from the vehicle.

 

 

Man charged with financial transaction card fraud

FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

A 22-year old Rossville, Georgia man is accused of trying to pay rent with a stolen credit card.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Uras Clinton Agee attempted to use the card to make payments to Arbor Terrace Apartments of Chateau Drive but the card was declined.

He is charged with a felony count of financial transaction card fraud.
 

 


 


 
 
 

Trion Police Chief David Gilleland told WZQZ News that the death is still under investigation, but for now, the incident is being treated as a fatal four-wheeler accident.
