Two Centre Residents Arrested on Drug Charges Wednesday Night

Two Cherokee County residents were arrested on drug charges Wednesday night.
 
James Bobby Tucker, age 40, and Kimberly Ranee Merrell, age 31, both of Centre, were each charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 
 
Merrell was additionally charged with Failure to Appear on a previous charge of Burglary 3rd Degree.
 
Both were booked in at the Cherokee County Detention Center around 11:00pm.
 
Bond for Tucker has been set at $3,000 while bond for Merrell has yet to be set.
As of 5 p.m., most of the power had been restored and most traffic lights are working again.
According to Floyd County Jail records, 29-year old Terina Marie Hooes began to stab a man with a knife during an argument on Reeceburg Road.
Avoid Maple Road in Lindale at the railroad tracks. A train is stopped, and the crossing arms are messed up. Traffic is at a standstill.
